Got nyah?
Nyah is that elusive but magical musical quality--the pulsating, irresistible lift of a well-played tune. Nyah defies gravity and spurs shy teenagers and dour old bachelors to dance, never mind that people are watching. If you’ve ever found yourself eyes closed, burnishing the floor with the sole of your shoe while a fiddler breathes life into a 300 year old tune, then you’ve felt the nyah.
This web site is one resource for helping you feel the nyah and letting it loose in your own music, no matter what instrument you play. It's also the online studio for anyone learning fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, Irish flute, and penny whistle from Will Harmon, a music coach in Helena, Montana, USA. That's Will playing fiddle in the photo below.

Will has played music for more than 30 years. He started teaching music when he was 15, and now coaches all ages and abilities out of Studio A at Piccolo's Music.
